METALINE 440 SOUND DEADENING PAINT (NOW IN STOCK)
METALINE 440 is a read-to-use, water-based anti drumming and noise -protection coating for the customer’s own processing.
The material specifically interferes with the structure-borne sound behaviour of existing metallic structures. High tones are dampened and the reverberation (echo) is completely eliminated. As a result, the metal structure has a sound of a “cardboard box” after treatment. In some cases Metaline 440 can reduce noise levels by 30dB (Recommended coating thickness is 1.5mm)
Metaline 440 is a solvent free coating based on a synthetic resin water-dispersion. Designed for do-it-yourself. Application by trowel, brush or spray. Excellent Sound Absorbing and Echo deadening properties.
NOTE: Metaline 440 should be overcoated with a solvent-free paint or varnish. Metaline 440 has an orange peel texture when dry.
Metaline 440 is not resistant to wet weather, oils or massive direct impact if it is not over-coated. Usually cures within 24 hours from application.
